Earlier this month, the Pakenham community came together to celebrate a remarkable milestone: 10 years of JUMP! Swim Schools Pakenham, led by passionate franchisees James and Michelle Bradley. With fairy floss in hand and face paint on cheeks, families gathered to honour a decade of dedication, growth, and water safety education.

A Family-Run Franchise with Heart

James and Michelle, proud parents of two, opened their doors in 2015 with a simple but powerful mission: to create a nurturing, child-first swim school that felt more like family than facility. Over the past decade, they’ve taught thousands of local children to swim, building confidence in and out of the water.

“We wanted to build something that gave back to the community and helped kids thrive,” says Michelle. “Ten years later, we’re still just as passionate.”

From humble beginnings to a thriving local institution, JUMP! Pakenham has become a cornerstone of early childhood development in the region.

Highlights from their journey include:

Over 3,000 children taught to swim safely
A loyal team of instructors, many with 5+ years of tenure
Longstanding partnerships with local childcare centres and schools
Consistently high parent satisfaction and word-of-mouth referrals

The anniversary event was a joyful reflection of the Bradleys’ community spirit and the families enjoyed:

Face painting
Fairy floss and snacks for the kids
Free giveaways

Longtime customers, and even a few alumni staff and swimmers dropped by to share stories and celebrate the Bradleys’ contribution to Pakenham.

James and Michelle credit their success to:

JUMP!’s proven operational model and support systems
Their commitment to personalised service and child-led learning
Structured planning and consistent community engagement
Ongoing professional development and team mentoring

Our structured curriculum takes kids from water familiarisation all the way through to stroke development. It’s step-by-step, age-appropriate, and designed to build confidence at every stage.

“JUMP! gave us the framework, but it’s the relationships we’ve built that make it meaningful,” says James.

As they enter their second decade, the Bradleys are focused on expanding their impact, mentoring new franchisees, deepening community ties, and continuing to champion water safety for every child.
