Trio make a splash for a good cause
Three swim teachers from JUMP! Villawood are making a splash for sick kids. Bec Barnacle, Erin Moodie and Stephanie Jiggins are taking part in the Starlight Children’s Foundation Super Swim.
The trio completed the 30-day swim challenge on Wednesday and swam a combined 35-kilometres – which is the equivalent of 44-laps of a 25-metre pool per day! Twice a week each of them would take to the pool to complete up to 1.5-kilomtres in the water.
Their original goal was to raise $500. They are now up to $750 with donations being accepted until 23 March, 2021
“It was a little bit of a fitness challenge and a chance to raise some money for charity at the same time,” Bec said. “We all work with kids, so we thought Starlight would be a good charity to support.”
